What this tool does

Lower resolution and quality produce a smaller file, at the cost of sharpness. Because every page becomes a flat picture, this trades fidelity for size rather than compressing the original PDF structure, so it works best for scanned documents or PDFs where selectable text is not needed in the result.

Is this lossless compression?
