System ideaMissing a tool?

Pick one or more random winners from a pasted list

Paste a list of names or entries, choose how many to pick, and draw a random subset without repeats for a raffle or a fair random pick, or with repeats allowed when you need more draws than entries. Runs entirely in your browser.

What this tool does

List Randomizer shuffles an entire list into a new order. This tool instead draws a fixed number of winners from the list, which is the shape most raffles, giveaways and "who goes first" decisions actually need, without asking you to shuffle the whole list and then read off the first few lines yourself.

How to use it

  1. Paste your list of entries, one per line.
  2. Set how many items to pick and whether repeats are allowed.
  3. Press Generate to draw a new random pick.

Privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your input is never uploaded, stored or shared — closing the tab removes it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. The random draw happens in JavaScript running in the page, so nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
Can the same entry be picked twice?
Only if Allow repeats is turned on. With it off, each entry can be drawn at most once, the same way names are pulled out of a hat.
What happens if I ask for more picks than there are entries?
Without repeats, the draw is capped at the number of entries in your list. Turn on Allow repeats if you need more picks than that.
