What this tool does
Leetspeak (also written 1337 or l33t) replaces letters with numbers or symbols that resemble them, a style that grew out of early internet and gaming culture. This tool offers three levels: light swaps only vowels, classic adds common consonants like s, t and l, and heavy pushes further with g, b and z, so you can dial the effect up or down.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text.
- Pick a style: Light, Classic or Heavy.
- Copy the converted text.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between the three styles?
- Light only swaps a, e, i and o. Classic adds s, t and l. Heavy adds g, b and z on top of classic for a denser effect.
- Does it preserve capitalization?
- Letters that get swapped become digits, which have no case; letters that aren't swapped keep their original case.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The text is converted in your browser.
