What this tool does
The awkward part of a bill is rarely the tip itself but dividing it afterwards. This tool takes the bill, a percentage from the usual presets or one you type, and the number of people, then shows the tip, the total and the per-person share together. Rounding up rounds the total to the next whole unit and treats the difference as extra tip, which is what people actually do at a table.

- Is my bill sent anywhere?
- No. Nothing is uploaded. The numbers are calculated in the page and disappear when you close it.
- How much should I tip?
- It depends entirely on where you are; in some countries service is already included and tipping is unusual. The presets cover the common range, and you can type any percentage instead.
- What does rounding up do?
- It rounds the total to the next whole unit and puts the difference into the tip, so the amount you hand over is a round number.
