Image Sharpen
Sharpen a photo with an adjustable unsharp mask
Upload an image and sharpen it with an adjustable unsharp-mask filter, right in your browser. Increase the strength for a stronger edge boost, or keep it low for a subtle touch-up.
Sharpening emphasizes edges using an unsharp mask; high strength can amplify noise, so start low.

What this tool does
Sharpening works by boosting the contrast between each pixel and its immediate neighbors, which makes edges and fine detail more visible. Too much strength can introduce visible halos or noise, so start low and increase it only as needed. The image never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Drag the strength slider until the preview looks right.
- Download the sharpened PNG.
Privacy
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your input is never uploaded, stored or shared — closing the tab removes it.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
- No. Sharpening runs on a canvas in your browser tab; nothing is sent to a server.
- Why does the image look noisier at high strength?
- Unsharp masking amplifies contrast at edges, and at high strength it also amplifies existing noise and compression artifacts. Reduce the strength if that happens.
